Devlog 1

Hello, I decided to make a devlog of a tool I have been working on for japanese studying. At first, I was making it for myself since I struggled to learn certain ways and I couldn’t find flashcard methods that had what I needed. I wanted to be able to type the kana, romaji, or kanji. So this is my own flash card system. 

This is what I had before, a simple layout, with pictures, voice, and toggles. As well as a score because my brain likes seeing numbers go up. I also added noises for correct answers and wrong answers because it helps my brain. But I think I might change the incorrect noise.

The changes I made from when I first posted the video are: I removed the pictures. I like the idea, but right now I just want to focus on populating the tool with words.

Second is, when you toggle Kana on, you can only input the English meaning. If you toggle kanji, it will only accept kana, and romaji. 

The third thing I change is the ability to input more than one reading or meaning, like for watashi, it’ll now accept I or me. 

That's all the changes I made so far. The system is pretty big, and once I am done I am going to share this for free, so others can use it to practice too.

I plan on making fill-in-the-blank sentences after I finish with the word. Right now I am working on populating the word banks. I want to be able to toggle different categories, like i-adj, na-adj, verbs, and nouns. And then subcategories, inside the same scene here, like people, places, etc. I am focusing on N5 vocabulary right now.
